  • Following a bye week Brandon Linder Color Rush Jersey , and less than stellar start to the first half of the season, the Jacksonville Jaguarshit the road to take on the AFC South rival Indianapolis Colts at Lucas Oil Stadium on Sunday. This is a must-win game for Jacksonville to keep its slim AFC South title hopes alive. Hopefully the Jaguars were able to use the bye week to correct the on-the-field issues that were plaguing the team, as well as try to get the team chemistry and morale up. Jacksonville is basically in survival mode from here on out, and cannot afford to lose if it wants to make it back to the postseason. It’s time to get back to our weekly history lessons. Let’s recap the head-to-head series between the Colts and Jaguars. Series historyAll-time regular season series record: Colts lead 22-12Last Jaguars win: Dec. 3, 2017 (30-10)Last Colts win: Jan. 1 2017 (24-20)Current Streak: Jags with a two-game winning streakBiggest Jaguars win: 51-16 (Dec. 13, 2015)Biggest Colts win: 43-14 (Sept. 25, 2000)Interesting takeaway: Jacksonville swept Indianapolis last year, and that was just the second occurence ever that the Jaguars were able to win both games against the Colts in the same season (2011-2012 season was the first time). Quick thoughts: The Jaguars have defeated the Colts in four of the past five contests, but Indianapolis had won all six games prior to that. Looking at the full history, the Jags and Colts only met twice prior to the conference realignment in 2002. Indianapolis (AFC East), beat Jacksonville (AFC Central), in both of those contests. Then the Colts won the next three games while both teams began competition in the AFC South. Jacksonville finally got its first win against Indy in 2003, and another one the next season in 2004. The Colts hold a large advantage overall, but the series is tied at seven wins a piece since 2011. On this particular day, Bortles completed 74 percent of passes for 309 yards Jalen Ramsey Jersey , two touchdowns and zero turnovers. Leonard Fournette added a touchdown, and Josh Lambo tacked on a couple of field goals. A lot of wide receivers got involved with Marqise Lee securing seven catches for 86 yards and a touchdown, while Keelan Cole had 49 receiving yards and a score, and Dede Westbrook added six catches for 78 yards. The defense had a strong performance with four sacks and two interceptions. Brad Nortman even completed a pass. It was a great all-around performance — man, I miss 2017.Prior MatchupWinner: JaguarsScore: 27-0Date: Oct. 22, 2017Location: Lucas Oil Stadium, Indianapolis Team Stats: Jaguars — 330 passing yards, 188 rushing yards, 23 first downsColts — 200 passing yards, 96 rushing yards, 15 first downsQuick recap: Even without Leonard Fournette, the Jaguars rushed for 188 yards on the legs of T.J. Yeldon and Chris Ivory. This was another strong performance from Blake Bortles, who had 330 passing yards, one touchdown, zero interceptions and a quarterback rating of 124.7. The defense was incredible, sacking Jacoby Brissett 10 times and holding Indianapolis to just 232 total yards. This was also Josh Lambo’s first game as a Jaguar, and the kicking game concerns from the previous weeks of that season were quickly put to rest as he made all of his extra point and field goal attempts. This was pure domination by Jacksonville, and the end result was the Jaguars’ first shutout win since 2006. Through the Decades1990s: Colts 1-0 (1995)2000-2010: Colts lead 14-52011-Present: Tied 7-7Quick thoughts: While the Colts dominated early, winning eight of the first 10 matchups overall, it is the Jaguars that have been making a comeback. The Colts held the advantage in the 1990s (granted, that was only one game in Jacksonville’s first year as a competing NFL franchise) and early 2000s, but Jacksonville has closed the gap. As mentioned earlier https://www.jaguarsfanstore.com/Leonard-Fournette-Jersey , the series is tied with seven wins each since 2011, and since 2008, Indy’s advantage is just 11-9. Indianapolis easily dominated from 2000 through 2010, which gives them the lopsided advantage in the series overall. But perhaps times are changing. This year’s matchup is an important game for both teams currently sitting at 3-5 and looking to make a run after an unspectacular start. The Colts have won two in a row and are humming on offense, but their defense leaves a lot to be desired. Meanwhile, the Jags have struggled with giving the ball away, lack of protection and lack of a run game on offense, while the defense has not made enough of the necessary big plays (turnovers, sacks, etc.) to mitigate the offense’s ineptitude. Something has to change this week, and I think it does. The Jags get the big divisional win on the road. Which team do you believe walks away victorious in this AFC South battle? JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) — The Jacksonville Jaguars built their offense around a player who played less than 30 percent of the snaps this season.Running back Leonard Fournette was injured, suspended and on the bench in crunch time. He was fined, criticized and admittedly not in ideal shape late in the year.Fournette was more of a problem than a pro. And now the Jaguars (5-11) have to decide what to do with the fourth overall pick in the 2017 NFL draft. It's one of the main questions Jacksonville faces as it heads into an offseason that will be focused on revamping an offense that ranked 31st in the league in scoring.Coach Doug Marrone confirmed Monday that the team has voided the remaining guarantees in Fournette's four-year rookie contract worth $27.1 million. The team made the move following Fournette's weeklong suspension in late November. Fournette still could challenge the decision, which could cost him up to $7.1 million. At the very least, Fournette is now at risk of being cut or traded. No one would be surprised to see either happen after Sunday's season finale at Houston.Fournette and fellow running back T.J. Yeldon spent most of the 20-3 loss on the bench and disengaged from coaches and teammates. Fournette was inactive because of foot and ankle injuries; Yeldon was active but did not play."It's disappointing what occurred the other day," Marrone said Monday. "We have taken care of it from a disciplinary standpoint, but like what I've always told you, those things remain between the club and the player."Personnel chief Tom Coughlin ripped both players for being "disrespectful" and "selfish.""Their behavior was unbecoming of a professional football player," Coughlin said in a statement.Fournette has missed 11 games in two seasons because of injuries and suspensions. The former LSU star ran for 439 yards and five touchdowns in eight games this season after running for 1,040 yards and nine touchdowns as a rookie. But he also was suspended one game in 2017 for leaving early during the bye week and suspended a week without pay for leaving the bench, running across the field and instigating a fight with Buffalo defensive end Shaq Lawson on Nov. 25. Fournette lost nearly $100 Keelan Cole Color Rush Jersey ,000 in salary during the weeklong suspension. It could cost him considerably more if the Jaguars decided to cut him with no guaranteed money remaining."I definitely pride myself on trying to help some of the younger guys develop," veteran defensive end Calais Campbell said. "I do believe that he's a good person at heart and wants to be a good player. This is a unique situation, but I believe that he's going to continue to mature and hopefully be who we need him to be."Jaguars owner Shad Khan opted to keep Coughlin, Marrone and general manager Dave Caldwell intact for 2019 , giving them a chance to fix the team's problems. Jacksonville finished last in the AFC South after making the conference championship game last January, a freefall that could be blamed mostly on offensive injuries and ineptitude.Offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett was fired in November, creating one opening Marrone still has to fill. Quarterback Blake Bortles, who regressed in his fifth season and was benched, expects to be released before March."When things don't go well, a lot of it falls on the quarterback's shoulders," Bortles said. "I know that and signed up for that and have no problem with it, whether it's a scapegoat or whatever you want to call it, somebody's got to take the blame when things don't go well. I think Nathaniel was one of those guys. I think I'm one of those guys. And I think other guys on this team were part of that as well."Right tackle Jermey Parnell, tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins and running back Carlos Hyde could join Bortles in the free-agent market. Yeldon, receiver Donte Moncrief, right guard A.J. Cann and running back Corey Grant are soon-to-be free agents. So are eight reserve offensive linemen. So numerous changes are coming for Jacksonville's offense. And now Fournette's future looks as wobbly as one of Bortles' passes."Availability, coachability and scheme," Marrone said when asked about the offensive makeover ahead. "When I talk about that, we have to do a better job with the players we have available. We have to do a better job if those players don't become available, what we're going to do next. I think that's an important thing when we look at it, and I think that was a mistake that I made this year."
